How to fix SOPlayer "unauthorized IP address" error.

When the SOPlayer app is loaded up and you see an "unauthorized IP address" error, this means that the system automatically flagged your account as having devices active off-of-home-network.

SOPlayer is restricted to 1 home internet connection. 1 IP address.

This means you can't share the account across multiple homes. You can't use it at work or use it at home. You can't let a buddy use a slot on your account.

If you use a VPN you can get around this, but most VPN don't allow you to select the same IP across all devices. Even with a VPN that allows you to select a "server location" chance are the IP address will still be different.

For SOplayer to avoid the "unauthorized IP address error" I recommend you do not use a VPN. Do not share the account with other people. Only use devices in the same home or office or whever they are - they need to be on the same router/wifi/network.

Any cell phone that is activated on the plan can be used anywhere on mobile data. But you cannot connect it to WiFi outside of the home where your TVs have active service. As soon as you connect it to a different WiFi - you're going to trigger the "unauthorized IP address" conflict and the account will get flagged.

To unlock the account from this account requires contacting support. Which, support is always more than happy to help. But it will be really annoying for both you and support if you trigger it constantly.
